HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT AND KEEP IT OFF (this time, for good!)

Shedding off excess pounds for the right reasons, with conviction that springs from the heart, rather than the passing fancy of imitating the svelte figure of a famous model or Hollywood celebrity is by far, the more effective approach to losing weight.  Most of the women however, men included, do not adhere to the mandates of a healthy lifestyle, until it is too late.

Losing weight has made millionaires out of enterprising men and women who saw opportunity in every other man and woman who jogs around the park, goes to the gym for aerobics exercises, or walks the dog around the neighborhood for a good sweat.  Primarily, these activities are carried out to burn excess calories defined prominently around the waist, on the belly, and on the buttocks.  To develop muscle tone, and limber the body come secondary, in fact, these do not come as reasons at all, but only effects of the weight-loss activity.  Most men and women, adhere to the belief that “thin is in” and as a response to this social definition, endeavors to lose weight to conform to the curves and the six-packed abdominal muscle that society approves.

It is no wonder why weight-loss programs, in the form of diets and exercise, or the more advanced clinical procedures that bring the issue of obesity under the knife, has mushroomed through the years.  The ultimate is yet to come, but today we shall attempt to interpret the underlying factors why, despite of all attempts to lose weight, the ideal figure remains elusive to most of us.

Do you have what it takes?

Wanting to lose weight for the prom, or for a dinner date lacks the intensity of commitment that elevates the desire to a lifelong endeavor, thus, as soon as these occasions fade, the person loses his grip of himself and goes back to where he sits in the dining table again.  Crash dieting is never a healthy approach to weight loss.  Excessive weight gain is a by-product of many factors such as unchecked habits and behaviors, or those clinical in nature that needs monitored assessment.  A crash diet will only put unnecessary burden on the body.

Though wanting to be noticed by a man or woman can have positive effects, still these are temporary.  When passion ebbs away, so does the conviction to keep trim.

This is happening because only a few understand the concept why losing excess weight is important.  More than all fleeting fantasies, keeping trim is all about being healthy, and being healthy is all about enjoying life to the fullest.  It is not about loving anyone else, why there is a need to lose weight, nor the desire to be accepted, or get noticed.  It is all about learning how to love and appreciate yourself.

If your commitment to lose weight anchors on the concept of healthy living, as it should be, then losing weight will become a passion, a drive that will become second nature to you – doing it does not become a chore, but a goal.
