A Hamilton-based Internet online pharmacy operation that reportedly earned an estimated $10 million in revenue has been found guilty of violating the guidelines of the Medicines Act for supplying medicines online.
The primary findings showed the lack of a requirement for a physician's prescription when taking orders for prescription medicines by the pharmacy.
Other charges for this Internet pharmacy include selling prescription medicines without a valid prescription (or no prescription), selling medications using wholesale transaction methods without having a wholesale licence to do so, and even selling unregistered medicines.
More information about this pharmacy and the charges filed against them can be found at the NBR.
